Asian Equity Markets Have Eyes on BOJ

Asian indices could open mixed on Tuesday, despite an inspiring handover from Wall Street overnight.

Australia’s S&P ASX 200 saw a sluggish open, after surging more than 1 percent to snap a five-session losing streak on Monday following Friday’s surprise interest rate cut in China.

Japanese stocks are expected to rally as the benchmark Nikkei 225 plays catch-up with its Asian peers, reopening after an extended weekend. Chicago stock futures traded at 17,505, while earlier Osaka futures inched up 0.1 percent to 17,400; both higher than the index’s previous close.
